"For peace to reign on Earth, humans must evolve into new beings who have learned to see the whole first." ~ Immanuel Kant
Kant was there ahead of us. My single message, oft repeated, is about the tension between the part and the whole, me and us, the individual and the community, humanity and the biosphere. I came across this Kant quotation in a conversation between Michael Dowd, Connie Barlow and Daniel Dancer. You will find it presented with beautiful photos and video at postdoom.com . (That page loads a bit slowly because it is data intensive. It is worth the wait.) If I haven't previously convinced you to take a look, this message is another reminder. When you get to that page, scroll down to the conversation links at the bottom and look for Daniel Dancer. An interesting hour. Don't miss it. This could change how we see everything.
"Data intesive" to put it mildly. I don't expect to live long enough to ever read/listen to everything Down has to offer!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I like much of what he says; don't disagree with much of it. See my comment from yesterday about Hope.
Thanks for sharing :-)
oops, that's "data intensive"
